Stephanie M. Caballero is the Founder of The Surrogacy Law Center, PLC and has represented over 2,000 clients, including Intended Parents, Surrogates and Donors from all over the world through Surrogacy, Egg Donation, Sperm Donation, and Embryo Donation. Stephanie specializes exclusively in Family Formation and Reproductive Law and has appeared on various programs and print media including The Today Show, ABC News, HuffPost Live, The Daily Beast, The Bakersfield Californian, The Examiner, the Creating a Family radio program, NPR, Fox News, The Los Angeles Times, The Union Tribune and the L.A. Stephanie had her own journey through infertility, after eight years of treatments including having endured more than 10 artificial insemination procedures, three surgeries, three miscarriages, and 13 IVF procedures she finally realized her dream of having children when a surrogate carried her twins. Stephanie also had to adopt her twins because the state where they were born did not recognize surrogacy.
Stephanie is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys serving on their Ethics Code Review Committee and is a member of the American Bar Association, San Diego Bar Association, and American Society of Reproductive Medicine, serving on the Executive Board of its Legal Professional Group. Stephanie also serves on the boards of Fertile Action and Parents Via Egg Donation (PVED).
Annie Tai, Esq.
Annie Tai, Esq., is a native of Southern California and has had extensive experience working abroad in both Europe and Asia, where she worked in international business prior to entering law school. Having completed her undergraduate studies in English Literature at the University of California, Los Angeles, she received her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law, in San Francisco, California, where she graduated with a specialized focus in litigation. Annie is enthusiastic about continuously working with both domestic and international clients, and using her unique experiences to relate to her clientele on a more personal level. She is multi-lingual and able to assist clients in Mandarin, French and English.
While in law school, Annie competed in National Mock Trial Competitions and obtained prestigious internships with the United Nations – International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia at the Hague, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California – Major Crimes Division, and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office – Hard Core Gang Crimes Division, which have only reinforced her passion for zealously representing clients when managing their cases.
Prior to joining the Surrogacy Law Center, Annie also worked briefly for a Fortune 500, multi-specialty healthcare company in Irvine, California, and it was there that she first discovered her passion for healthcare and reproductive law. Since joining the Surrogacy Law Center in 2013, Annie has only continued to discover her passion for advocating on behalf of clients hoping to create their own families.
